When is the 2018 Cavendish Beach Music Festival?

This year’s festival will be held July 6, July 7, July 8, 2018 in the coastal community of Cavendish, Prince Edward Island.

Is there a place that I can leave a ticket for a friend?

Yes – you can leave tickets at the General Admission & VIP Entrance Box Office locations.

I bought my ticket on Kijiji- how do I check if it is valid?

There is absolutely no way to check and we won’t attempt to try. Always purchase tickets directly from us, for your own safety and reassurance.

Can I exchange my ticket(s) if I do not use them?

No. No refunds or exchanges including, but not limited to, failure of performer(s) to appear, changes in performer(s), or cancellation due to inclement weather.

Does CBMF have VIP seating?

Yes. There are a number of different VIP experiences. Specific information on each ticket type can be found HERE.

All VIP areas are a licensed; children and guests under the age of 19 must have their own full priced VIP ticket AND must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while in this area.

The ” Hayloft” & the “Saloon” areas are licensed- serving alcoholic beverages. All ticket-holders must be 19 and older with a valid photo ID. These areas are not accessible; Patrons needing assistance and accessibility should sit in the designated accessible areas.

P.S. the only VIP tickets that have assigned seating are the Hayloft & SunRoof Tables.

Does CBMF have private party or corporate hosting opportunities?

Does CBMF process refunds?

No. Under no circumstances are we able to process a refund. This performance is outdoors and subject to postponement, delay or cancellation due to inclement weather. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Absolutely no refunds or exchanges. Performer line-ups are subject to change without notice.

Where do I park?

There many parking options at the festival this year. We have EAST & WEST Premium Parking that can be purchased pre-festival for the very first time!  Premium Parking, located right behind the main stage is $20 per day. Parking by the Cavendish Tourist Mart is $10 per day. No ticket types include complimentary parking in 2017.

Can I camp near the Festival?

Yes. There are tent and RV camping locations near the festival grounds. The Festival also has a camping and hotel package available for the first time! This amazing package with the Mill River Experience is available now. It’s the first time we’ve paired tickets with camping and hotels + it’s so easy to book!



With both camping & hotel packages available, Mill River has everything you need. It might not be right in Cavendish, but shuttles will be available (additional cost) and will be more fun than going right home to bed!

Frequently asked questions about the Cavendish Beach Events Centre.

What should I do if I lose my child inside the Festival?

If your child becomes lost inside of the festival grounds, please notify a uniformed security officer or volunteer.

Am I allowed to bring a backpack or purse into the Festival?

Yes, but there are certain items that are NOT permitted and cannot be brought onto the Cavendish Beach Festival grounds in a backpack or purse. Cavendish Beach Festival reserves the right to alter carry-in policies at any time. Currently, items NOT permitted include, but are not limited to:

●Framed Backpacks
●Large bags
●Other carry-ins
●Outside food or beverages
●Cans or glass bottles
●Video equipment
●Professional cameras
●Recording devices
●Laser pointers
●Inline skates
●Picnic baskets
●Weapons of any kind
●Go Pro’s & Selfie Sticks

What is allowed (all items subject to inspection, prior to entry, at venue gates):

● Non framed backpacks (they will be subject to inspection at venue gates)
● Small purses (they will be subject to inspection at venue gates)
● 1 sealed bottle of water, 1L or less

Can I bring food or drink into the Festival grounds?

No. No outside beverages or food of any kind is allowed. However, one sealed bottle of water, 1L or less will be permitted. Once inside the festival, you can purchase food and drink from a variety of vendors.

If I have a dietary restriction, what should I do?

If you have a doctor’s note or another form of dietary restriction identification you are able to bring a reasonable amount of food on-site; however, all items must be pre-packaged and sealed. We pride ourselves on having a variety of gluten free and dairy free options at the festival. If you have a specific dietary question, please email [email protected]

Once inside, can I leave and return later?

Yes. You may leave and return, but you must obtain a return wristband and it must be placed securely on your wrist for re-entry. Upon re-entry you will need to have a valid wristband for that particular day.

Can I sell my stuff in the parking lots?

If not approved, absolutely not. If you are caught you will be asked to leave the area immediately.

If I am a volunteer, vendor or staff where do I check in?

The check in tent is located right beside the VIP entrance. Everyone entering as a volunteer must have a volunteer t-shirt. Vendors and staff must arrive by 6pm with absolutely no exceptions. If you are not on the list, there is a box office right beside check in to purchase tickets:)


Can I bring a camera to the Festival?

No professional audio/video recording devices are allowed. The Cavendish Beach Music Festival defines professional cameras to be anything with a removable lens. NEW: GoPro’s are prohibited.

Can I bring chairs?

Yes. Standard “bag” chairs are acceptable to bring. Do NOT bring high back lawn chairs. If your “bag” chair is blocking the view of an individual behind you, we will ask you to remove that particular chair. Limited chairs, provided by the festival are available in the VIP section, but you can bring your own “bag” chair into VIP if need be. Chairs left unoccupied in the line-up prior to gates opening will be removed.

Can I bring a stroller for my child into the Festival?

Yes. Strollers are acceptable.

What if I have difficulty walking?

If you have difficulty walking there are alternatives to make your experience a lot easier!

-If you are taking a bus/ taxi you can use the Free Pat & the Elephant Service to and from the VIP gate to the marshalling area!

-If you are driving and have a government-issued accessible parking pass (or CBMF accessible parking pass that was purchased before June 30th), there are some designated accessible parking spots available right beside the main gate (first come, first serve basis)!



Is the Festival wheelchair accessible?

The Cavendish Beach Music Festival has been recently accredited as “Fully Accessible” by Access Advisor. We offer a wealth of services to our physically challenged guests to ensure a positive experience. Services include an accessible parking lot for those with the government issued parking passes (parking fee is required), a Pat & The Elephant  shuttle service to and from the parking lot, VIP entrance access, accessible washrooms, crushed gravel pathways, and an accessible viewing platform that offers a premium view of the main stage. Our accessible viewing platform is fully licensed and comes complete with a beverage server. Space is limited and is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis with a special “Accesible” ticket type. Pat & The Elephant also offers a transportation service to anyone in need. This service is first come/ first serve, but is very efficient and drops off right at the VIP gates from the bus/ shuttle marshaling area.

Are wheelchairs available at the Festival?

A limited number of wheelchairs are available at the VIP & Corporate Entrance. There is no charge for usage, but a valid picture I.D. and/or driver’s license must be left with the gate attendant. When the wheelchair is returned to the same gate it was obtained at, the I.D. will be returned.

If I have an accessible parking pass provided to me by the Government, do I still have to pay for parking?

Yes, everyone has to pay for parking, but accessible parking is conveniently located right by the VIP entrance on a first- come, first serve basis. We will try to accommodate as best we can!

Can I bring my service animal with me?

Yes. Service animals are allowed, but pets are not.
